Codex Vault reads the supported transcript trees on this Mac and searches message text directly. Results are not limited to the threads currently visible in the Codex sidebar, and search does not require uploading your conversation history to Segeren Studio.

Open and take the conversation with you

Read a matching thread in Vault, download it as Markdown, print or save it as PDF, or use the browser’s share sheet when available. This gives valuable business and technical work a durable form outside one app’s navigation.

Why not grep the files yourself?

You can—the engine and CLI are MIT licensed. Vault packages the useful workflow: discover the supported active and archived transcript trees, parse the conversation structure, show readable results, export a thread, and connect search to verified backup and recovery.

Deliberately narrow scope

This is local OpenAI Codex history on Apple silicon Macs, including Codex in the ChatGPT desktop app. It does not search ordinary ChatGPT cloud chats, other coding agents, or content that Codex never wrote to disk.
